Van het Britse Savages verschijnt op 22 januari eindelijk de opvolger van het meesterlijke debuut Silence Yourself van twee jaar terug. Het nieuwe album is Adore Life getiteld en laat een muzikaal flink groeiende band horen. Het viertal Ayşe Hassan, Fay Milton, Gemma Thompson en Jehnny Beth lieten afgelopen jaar op Into The Great Wide Open al enkele nieuwe tracks horen en die waren zeer veel belovend. Sowieso speelde de band op het festival een bizar goede set.

Het tweede album van Savages werd afgelopen april opgenomen in RAK Studio’s, Londen. Johnny Hostile die ook het debuut van de band produceerde, en tevens het Pop Noir label runt samen met Jehnny Beth, nam ook voor Adore Life weer de productie in handen. Richard Woodcraft was de engineer en electronic held Anders Trentemøller heeft het album gemixt in Kopenhagen, Denemarken.

It’s about the music and the message: together, one and the same. It’s about bass, guitars, drums and vocals. It’s about opening-out and never, ever dying. But most of all it’s about love, every kind of love. Love is the answer.
